[Case Study] Matsuzakaya Nagoya Store | A co-creation project to create new spatial value for the department store
Co-creation of spaces that inject new value and stories
We delivered and installed Nejiru Furniture sofas, chairs, and stool benches at the Matsuzakaya Nagoya store, a commercial facility. Discarded clothing and furniture have been given a new life as one-of-a-kind, original Nejiru Furniture for the Matsuzakaya Nagoya store.
Background
The project was to create a new department store for current and future customers, with the themes of "Expression of creativity" and "Co-creation with the local community." The keywords "Expression of creativity" and "Co-creation" required an affinity with Matsuzakaya Nagoya store. Matsuzakaya Nagoya store collected "discarded clothing," and we reconstructed about 400 pieces of clothing into art furniture.
And we aimed for creativity by creating individuality while still blending in with the space.
